An infinite homogeneous and isotropic Universe would be interesting. About a googolplex of light years away there would be a planet exactly like us with people like us doing the exact same things as we're doing. It would be absolutely identical to Earth. And on average around another googolplex light years further there would be another identical Earth. Indeed there would be an infinite number of identical Earths. It's a seriously weird notion. I think an infinite Universe is implausible for this reason.
